PLAYBOOT.EXE Malcolm Goth.
Standard Universal Disclaimer - The author or distributor of this
program may not be held libel for any damages caused by useing (or
not using) this program, hereafter refered to as PLAYBOOT.EXE.
This program is strictly in the PUBLIC DOMAIN and as such no cash
may be charged for its distribution (excepting the value of the
disk).
Now that I have got my ass saved from most of the people out
there.
PLAYBOOT came into effect due to the fact that the standard
boot up of a AT is BOOOORRRRING. I hated it. And the few programs
on the market that could liven it up a wee bit were limited to the
number of voc selections that it could choose from. NOT so with
PLAYBOOT - The latest in modular programming (Yes a stealth feature
is built into it) it can handle over 5000 voc files.
RESTRICTIONS - 1) VPLAY.EXE - thoughtfully provided with your
Sound Blaster By Creative Labs (They shipped it just so I could
program this) MUST be somewhere in your path.
2) As far as I KNOW there should be no other
restrictions. BUT I could be Wrong (it has been know to happen).
Then all you do is call PLAYBOOT.EXE using your autoexec.bat
remembering to call it using the following format.
PLAYBOOT specdirectory
ie.PLAYBOOT C:\VOC
and thats all there is to it.
If you want to send me money I will of course NOT turn it
down. (I'm Not STUPID) But there is no Charge to use it. If you
want to get in touch with me (To complement me on my incredible
effort - or to get me to customize something) I am currently on THE
MUSICAL CHAIR BBS - TORONTO BRANCH (416) 724-6016 -> 724-6018 (DEMO
LINE) or write me at the following address.
